Maximum precision is what counts in curve belts

Round conveyors, also known as curve conveyors, demand meticulously made conveyor belts. The slightest deviation in the design or finishing of the belt can lead to enormous problems when using the conveyor. Bandtransport Europe supplies these specialist belts for round conveyors.

The round conveyor, in which the conveyor belt goes around a curve, is widely used in for example bakeries, greenhouse cultivation and horticulture, chocolate factories, distribution centres and the production of building materials. Round conveyors allow for better use of the available space.

Curve belts require maximum precision

Fabricating conveyor belts for round conveyors or curve conveyors requires precision work. Each curve belt has unique dimensions. The tiniest measuring or cutting error inevitably leads to practical problems, as the belt will not run properly and will jerk or ripple.

Conveying effortlessly around the curve

Our computer-controlled cutting plotter measures and cuts curve belts based on a digital technical drawing with extremely high accuracy. The conveyor belt is then assembled with the greatest care. PU curve belts are suitable for the transport of foodstuffs e.g. bakery products and chocolate (packaged and unpacked). These conveyor belts have, among other things, the following features:

Oil and grease resistant
Good release properties
Easy to clean
Fully comply with FDA and EU food contact guidelines.

The belts are also available with a diamond profile. If required, belts can be supplied with punched hole patterns, eyelets or runners.

Extensive range of PVC curve belts

BTE has an extensive range of PVC conveyor belt material. For the PVC curve belts we use special material with flexible fabric. The belts are available in different colors and with a bottom side consisting of fabric or PVC.

Spiral conveyors

Distribution centres have a set of requirements of their own when it comes to the curve belts applied. In this industry buffering of boxes and inclined conveying, e.g. in spiral conveyors, are important. These are accurately cut on our Zünd digital cutting plotter, after which the belt is finished with the greatest precision.

Curve belts for the production of building materials

Belts used for production and processing of bricks and other building (raw) materials need to have a wear-resistant cover for a long service life. BTE has developed a special, wear-resistant cover, the SD cover, which is applied on our own coating line. With this cover, every belt more than meets the requirements for wear-resistance, resulting in a long service life, even under the challenging circumstances in this industry.
