Even in the earliest stages of potato processing, during initial supply, you will encounter our belts: the plastic conveyor belt with chevron profile developed by Bandtransport Europe is especially suited for heavy applications. This conveyor belt can be installed quickly, is easy to clean, has the best force-elongation ratio for optimal performance and has a long service life. Due to their low weight, lighter, more compact conveyors can be used. This conveyor belt material can be supplied in food grade quality, in blue, meeting the strict requirements of FDA and EU.
Especially for these chevron belts, which are used for heavier applications, we have developed friction material that is applied as a drum lagging material on drums and drum motors. Due to its profile and special hardness, this material offers superior grip, also when used with heavier loads.
Hygiene is the most important aspect when conveying foodstuffs. Machines must be easy to clean and contamination must be kept to a minimum during use. Many of Bandtransport Europe’s conveyor belts have been developed especially for this purpose. Belts with good release properties in order to prevent adhesion of (in particular) starch, belts that are suitable for transport at low temperatures, belts on which products can be cut or that are suited for use with scanning or weighing equipment are available. We offer belts with Fabseal® sealed edges for applications with wet products. In this manner, moisture and dirt cannot penetrate the fabric inside the belt and the belt remains clean and undamaged. Cleaning time can be limited to an absolute minimum, thus saving time, optimal productivity and a long service life.
It goes without saying that our belts will meet the strict requirements of FDA, USDA, 3A and EU for the transport of foodstuffs when required. Our belts are manufactured with the greatest care from the finest raw materials and semi-finished goods sourced from the Netherlands and its surrounding countries, which makes them highly suitable for their application, easy to process and easy to clean.
