The history of Bandtransport Europe BV goes back to 1983. In that year, Bandtransport Zaanstreek BV (BTZ) was established as a fabricating company for plastic conveyor belts. With its roots firmly seated in the oldest industrial area of Europe, the Zaan district (in Dutch: “Zaanstreek”), the company grew steadily and opened a number of branches.

Production of conveyor belts

In the beginning of the 1990s, in addition to the fabrication of plastic conveyor belts, we also started with conveyor belt manufacturing. BTZ relocated to its current location in Uitgeest, in the heart of the plastic conveyor belt industry and a well-accessible, central location.

Take-overs

In 1996, the activities of BTZ were taken over by the American company Fabreeka and the name was changed to Fabreeka Bandtransport BV. Eleven years later, in 2007, the American parent company decided to sell off the company due to the fact that it no longer coincided with their core activities.

The company was taken over by the renowned Dutch conveyor belt producer Derco BV, which is specialised in the development and production of plastic conveyor belts.

Independent

Mid-2010, the activities of Fabreeka Bandtransport BV became independent by means of a management buy-out and the name was changed to today's Bandtransport Europe BV (BTE). Looking back at the brilliant history of the company, we believe that the name “Bandtransport” (“belt transport”) remains a worthy name for our company. The addition of “Europe” indicates that our field of operations is not limited to the Zaan region. We remain a loyal partner in both production and fabrication of plastic conveyor belts for purchasers throughout Europe and even far beyond.
