New! Fabseal® sealed edges for Fabplast® (PE) gauze belts

Hygiene is of the utmost importance in the food industry. Especially in areas where work is carried out in accordance with HACCP, food safety rules and regulations are in place that set high standards to the conveyor belts used.

As a result of new technological developments Fabseal®  sealed edges can now also be applied to our Fabplast® (PE) gauze belts, in order to safeguard hygiene in any location. Until recently this technology was only available on standard thermoplastic conveyor belts.

Why Fabseal® on Fabplast® gauze belts?

BTE’s Fabseal® offers a number of benefits:

  • Safeguarding food safety:  By sealing the yarn at the side of the belt bacteria can no longer penetrate the side of the gauze belt. This makes the gauze belt more hygienic and suitable for use in a HACCP environment as food safety is guaranteed.
  • Easy to clean: The sides of the gauze are sealed and the yarn is no longer exposed.  The belt can therefore be easily and thoroughly cleaned.  No bacteria are left behind.
  • Wear resistant: The sealed edges are manufactured of a hard, wear resistant plastic with a hardness of 92° Shore A.
  • Longer service life:  By applying sealed edges, the gauze belt remains hygienic for longer. The fabric and the gauze wire do not absorb bacteria and do not  fray. This makes the belt safe to use for longer in the manufacturing process.

Excellent chemical resistance  –  Both with and without Fabseal®, BTE’s gauze belts are resistant against a host of chemicals, oils and greases.

High lateral stability – By applying additional thermofixation and a special polyethylene finish on the edges, BTE’s gauze belts are extra laterally stable. This results in excellent running qualities and makes sure the belts can be used in many different applications.
